and corporate entities, all in active support of the crane,
hoist and rigging industry. Members of the executive staff
actively participate in the development of various national
consensus safety standards under the ASME B30 umbrella, support
several national trade associations, and are founding members
of the Association of Crane and Rigging Professionals. NACB
Group and its subsidiaries are directed by company co-founders
Ted Blanton, Sr. and Joe Crispell, with Diana Blanton heading
up the day-to-day office operations. Since its incorporation
in 1986, NACB Group has been committed to provide the industry
with a standard of excellence unparalleled in the field of
safety. NACB, through its subsidiary NACB-IES, offers the
industry state-of-the-art training simulators for both mobile
hydraulic cranes and for overhead bridge cranes. Units have
been placed within organizations such as General Motors, U.S.
Navy, I.U.O.E., Ford, U.S. Steel and General Electric. We
schedule over 150 safety training seminars annually. Training
facilities are located in Florida and California, and offices
and workshops are currently being built on the campus of Lee
College in Baytown, Texas. Beginning in 2007, students will
be able to register for various operator, inspector and rigging
classes through Lee College and receive transcripts of technical
training from this excellent post-secondary educational facility.
In addition to offering a wide variety of training programs,
subsidiary NorAm® Productions Inc. has developed and published
award winning safety videos for the lift industry. Videos
are available in English or Spanish and VHS or DVD format.
NACB also holds federal accreditation under 29CFR part 1919,
Cal/OSHA accreditation under Title 8, and is recognized by
several additional state entities as being qualified to conduct
lift equipment inspection/ certification and/or operator training/
certification. In 1996 NACB partnered with NCCER to facilitate
the development of its first mobile crane operator training
series. Today NACB and NCCER are working together to develop
a joint-ownership crane operator certification program that
will provide the industry with a cost-effective, standardized
means to verify competency and to credential mobile crane
operators.
