CRANE SIMULATORS OVERVIEW

NACB Interactive Educational Systems Inc. (IES) simulation systems are designed to simulate generic hoists, bridge cranes and mobile hydraulic cranes. Using software designs developed for the US military and commercial airlines, state-of-the-art computer graphics and today’s low-cost PC hardware, IES crane traiing simulators bridge the gap between classroom and hands-on training.

Through simulation, training is provided in crane safety, controlling the load swing and reaction to equipment malfunctions.

IES Simulators Provide:

  • Uninterrupted availability for hands on training
  • Increased safety awareness
  • Increased productivity
  • Training with various loads and situations
  • Detailed training log
IES simulators systems are compose of two stations, the Student Station and the Instructor/Operator Station (IOS).

Student Station
The student station consists of the crane controls (wired pendant, radio pendant, mobile crane controls, etc) and a 3D view of the simulated training area. The 3D view is updated 30 times per second and is displayed on a user supplied LCD projector or monitor. IES uses simulated pendant crane controls and simulated belly-box radio remote controls.

Instructor/Operator Station (IOS):
The IOS consists of the IOS flat-panel monitor, keyboard and mouse.
The IOS program display on the monitor will be familiar to all Microsoft Windows users.

Through pull-down menus and popup windows, the instructor controls the simulation, including:

  • Loading Student, Initial Condition, Exercise and Playback files
  • Starting, Stopping and Restarting the simulation
  • Setting and Clearing malfunctions
